There are various colors for tarps that are used also for various purposes.  The specific color of tarps may also mean that they are used for special purpose.  These tarps are common in industries like construction and they have various purposes on construction sites.  These tarps are needed to cover and protect lumber, roofs or other materials.  They are used also to protect cement delivered to the site.  There are different colored tarps for different jobs.  Besides the basic green and blue tarps, there are still several different specialty and colored tarps.

Silver and white tarps are the heavy duty tarps.  They also come with an ultraviolet ray inhibitor so that the sun could not damage your goods.  The generic green and blue tarps are the cheapest and they are great for single projects.  Although they are not highly resistant, they can still provide the basic coverage to your goods outside.

Fire retardant tarps are the ones extensively used around construction sites.  They better protect materials especially in the event of fire.  These fire retardant tarps usually come in colors yellow, orange or red.  Sometimes, they are also available in white and silver colors.  They are great for their visibility with any condition.
